Integrated Circuits-Operational Amplifier-Positive/Negative Feedback-Applications
Integrated Circuits-Operational Amplifiers :
Operational amplifiers and their applications:
Basic components of analog electronic circuits. They are linear devices. Op Amp has many different ways to convert them into different forms of amplifiers, such as inverting amplifier, non-inverting amplifier, voltage follower, comparator, differential amplifier, summing amplifier, integrator, etc.
Operational Amplifier Negative feedback:
Here, the output of the op amp is connected to its inverting (-) input, so the output is fed back to the input to achieve a balance.
Operational Amplifier Positive feedback:
Here the output voltage is returned to the non-inverting (+) input. The input signal is sent to the inverting input.
Typically a non-inverting input must be given a bias and the inverting input is the actual amplifier; I connected this to a 60k resistor feedback from the output to the input.
Applications:
1.Amplification of Voltage.
2. Voltage follower: When the input voltage changes, the output and inverting input will change equally.
3.Comparator : The operational amplifier compares the voltage applied at one input with the voltage applied at the other input.
